I was getting bored these days without any excitement, so
I have decided to go on a tour.
I was basically interested in tour locations which have
some historical importance. So I was googling through many tour websites of
Andhra Pradesh.
Finally I’ve decided to visit places in and around
tirupathi. Also I had a pending offerings (“Mokku” in telugu) to be completed.
(Head shaving in tirupathi).
I have booked my tour tickets in Andhra Pradesh Tourism
Development Corporation (http://www.aptdc.gov.in/intro/index.html).
I was very lucky to get a ticket at the last moment.
I got my accommodation in Bhakta markandeya padmashali
satram tirupati. It was newly built so it was very clean & tidy
Following are the places I have visited.
First Day:
1. Swayambhu Varasiddi vinayaka, Kanipakkam (81 Km from Tirupathi)
2. Kalyana Venkateswara swamy temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram (11 Km from Tirupathi)
3. Sri Kalahasti temple (37 Km from Tirupathi)
Second Day:

Most of the south india vaishnavite temples have garuda image in the scriptures.
These temples were built by Vijayangara Kings.
As i am a Numismatist (of course not an expert :p), i know that Garuda in commonly minted on the vijayangara coins.
Here is a Vijayanagara coin minted with Garuda on it.
You can see a similar posture of Garuda on the temple as well.

I could not get any pics of Sri Kalahasti & Alimelu mangamma temples as photography was strictly prohibited. But i could get some details of Gnanaprasoonamba of Sri Kalahasthi.
