Paigah Tombs or Maqhbara Shums Ul Umra, are the tombs belonging to the nobility of the Paigah or the
Shums ul Umrahi family. They are located in Hyderabad, India, at Santosh Nagar suburb.
The tombs were constructed in the year 1787's by Nawab Taig Jung Bahadur and later by his son Amir e Kabir I (In the 1880s some additions were made by Sir Asman Jah, Sir Khurshid Jah and Sir Vikar Ul Umra).
How to reach Paigah Tombs:
It is very difficult to identify the location of the tombs as these are not well known to general public.
Here is the best way to reach these tombs: Go to Nalgonda 'X' roads in Hyderabad which is a well know junction. From there take the fly over bridge which leads to Santosh nagar and go straight till you reach Owaisi Hospital. There will be a small lane opposite to the hospital with a Kaman (Arc) on the entrance of the road, this will lead to the site. You will find sign boards by the Archaeological department to the tombs.
