International Auto Expo, Hitex, Hyderabad 2015

Hyderabad will play host to globally renowned luxury cars for the next three days at Hyderabad International Auto Show 2015 — the annual auto show organised in the city.

“About 40 automobile companies are participating in the three-day show in Hyderabad. Around 150 cars and bikes are kept for display at the show. Apart from the popular domestic cars, the show also displayed Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lambor-ghini, Maserati, etc,” organiser Saral Talwar told this newspaper. The auto show is inaugurated by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at Hitex, Madhapur, on Friday.

The show also displayed several vintage cars and bikes. “The highlight among bikes would be the all India launch of US bike Regal Raptor and Hyundai’s new vehicle Verna launch in Hyderabad,” said Mr Talwar.

Qutub Shahi Tombs

The tombs of the seven Qutub Shahi rulers in the Ibrahim Bagh (garden precinct) are located close to the famous Golkonda Fort in Hyderabad, India. The galleries of the smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. In the centre of each tomb is a sarcophagus which overlies the actual burial vault in a crypt below. The domes were originally overlaid with blue and green tiles, of which only a few pieces now remain.
